The Concept Reflector® System

The innovative Concept reflector® system, first developed and patented by Abacus can now be found in the Orion family of luminaries, as well as the distinctive Pegasus® lantern.

Its optical qualities deliver both higher lighting levels on the ground but equally importantly, unmatched uniformity over the area. No product can equal this technical performance.

THE CONCEPT REFLECTOR® SYSTEM

As a result of these qualities the Orion has become the de facto standard solution for leading retail and commercial clients in Europe.

Newly launched alongside the successful Orion are the Orion 2 & Orion 3, featured also in the Car Park section. These new lanterns offer similarly effective solutions at heights of 5m to 8m.

Twin Lamp Option

The Orion itself can carry up to two 400w high pressure sodium or metal halide lamps.

This not only presents tremendous performance advantages, but also flexibility to offer half level lighting during off peak hours. Mounting heights of 12m, and even 15m, can be achieved with the twin lamp versions. Alternatively, the Orion will accept a 600w high pressure sodium lamp. One set of control gear (up to 400w) can be mounted integrally in the head casting within the luminiare.

Asymmetric Beam

The asymmetric beam option within the concept® reflector, providing a 120° cut-off characteristic, allows minimum visual intrusion towards neighbouring roads or residential areas.
